“7 at Once” Technologies you must know will boast @2017 & ahead

The tech revolution, I’m amazed to the technology available to us and also new coming technology all around. As I see all over the internet we have something new to read, to know, to implement, there is always something new on the horizon. Technologies that attract me and the way I see, there are seven major tech trends that will go vigorously in 2017 and ahead.

1. Virtual Reality

Virtual reality(VR) is the first technology in my list. It is defined as “realistic and immersive simulation of a three-dimensional environment, created using interactive software and hardware, and experienced or controlled by movement of the body” or as an “immersive, interactive experience generated by a computer”

There are a wide variety of applications for virtual reality which include:

  • Architecture
  • Sport
  • Medicine
  • The Arts
  • Entertainment

Virtual reality can lead to new and exciting discoveries in these areas which impact upon our day to day lives.

2. Augmented Reality

Second, augmented reality(AR) is the integration of digital information with the user’s environment in real time. Unlike virtual reality, which creates a totally artificial environment, augmented reality uses the existing environment and overlays new information on top of it.

It’s application includes :

  • Education
  • Music and Entertainment
  • Medical, Emergency management/search and rescue
  • Military and Navigation
  • Broadcast and Live Events

Augmented reality brings out the components of the digital world into a person’s perceived real world.

3. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

Third, artificial intelligence (AI) is intelligence exhibited by machines. In computer science, an ideal “intelligent” machine is a flexible rational agent that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of success at some goal. Colloquially, the term “artificial intelligence” is applied when a machine mimics “cognitive” functions that humans associate with other human minds, such as “learning” and “problem solving”.

Machine learning is a method of data analysis that automates analytical model building. Using algorithms that iteratively learn from data, machine learning allows computers to find hidden insights without being explicitly programmed where to look.

Fields in which AI & ML methods are implemented:

  • Handwriting recognition
  • Speech recognition
  • Face recognition
  • Artificial creativity
  • Computer vision, Virtual reality and Image processing
  • Diagnosis (artificial intelligence)

Here I just mentioned top fields there are many more in which AI can be implemented.

4. Robotics

Fourth, Robotics deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. These technologies are used to develop machines that can substitute for humans.

Current and potential applications include:

  • Military robots
  • Used in manufacturing
  • Robots in hospitals as receptionists, guides and porters helpers
  • Robots can serve as waiters and cooks, also at home
  • Robot combat for sport
  • Cleanup of contaminated areas, such as toxic waste or nuclear facilities
  • Agricultural robots
  • Domestic robots, cleaning and caring for the elderly
  • Medical robots performing low-invasive surgery
  • Household robots with full use.
  • Nano robots

Today, robotics is a rapidly growing field, as technological advances continue; researching, designing, and building new robots serve various practical purposes, whether domestically, commercially, or militarily.

5. Big Data

Fifth, Big data is a term for data sets that are so large or complex that traditional data processing applications are inadequate to deal with them. Challenges include analysis, capture, data curation, search, sharing, storage, transfer, visualization, querying, updating and information privacy.

Big Data — The term “big data” often refers simply to the use of predictive analytics, user behavior analytics, or certain other advanced data analytics methods that extract value from data, and seldom to a particular size of data set

  • Real estate

  • Sports

Big data will be a necessary asset for companies in all sectors, From trucking to data entry, big data algorithms will change the landscape in a big way, metaphorically and literally — geographical information systems will get a major upgrade in speed and efficiency.

6. Internet of Things(IoT)

Sixth, A network of internet-connected objects able to collect and exchange data using embedded sensors. The IoT is set to disrupt the way we live and work, but for now let’s focus on the “live” portion of that statement.

There is no shortage of possibilities for smart home IoT devices, and home automation seems to be the wave of the future.

The IoT refers to the connection of devices (other than typical fare such as computers and smartphones) to the Internet. Cars, kitchen appliances, and even heart monitors can all be connected through the IoT. And as the Internet of Things grows in the next few years, more devices will join that list.

Applications of the Internet of Things:

  • Smart Home
  • Wearables, smartwatches on the market have turned our wrists into smartphone holsters by enabling text messaging, phone calls, and more.
  • Smart Cities, the IoT can solve traffic congestion issues and reduce noise, crime, and pollution.
  • Connected Car, These vehicles are equipped with Internet access and can share that access with others, just like connecting to a wireless network in a home or office.

In short, the Internet of Things refers to the rapidly growing network of connected objects that are able to collect and exchange data using embedded sensors. Thermostats, cars, lights, refrigerators, and more appliances can all be connected to the IoT.

7. Quantum Computing

Seventh, QC is the area of study focused on developing computer technology based on the principles of quantum theory, which explains the nature and behavior of energy and matter on the quantum level.

  • Quantum Chemistry
  • Material Science
  • Optimization Problems
  • Sampling
  • Quantum Dynamics
  • Searching

Development of a quantum computer, if practical, would mark a leap forward in computing capability far greater than that from the abacus to a modern day supercomputer, with performance gains in the billion-fold realm and beyond.
