As an African-American I notice what the “white privilege bros” doing in the comment section here and on TechCrunch when women in tech talk about harassment — the dudes are trying to passive-aggressive take control of the narrative and define “acceptable harassment” for women.

Read their comments — these guys/bros/dudes want to tell women what is “harassment” and what is “persistence” — no different than them trying to dictate to us African-Americans what is a “meritocracy” system versus an outright racial discriminatory white privilege system.

White male privilege is based on power via controlling the narrative and the rules — women in tech have to take control of her narrative from these dudes and set them straight quickly. This is why these guys are in the comment section saying everything except they will support you ladies professionally to feel at ease and acknowledged with dignity and respect as a woman in tech.

Don’t argue — state your position, draw your line and deal with these guys who obviously have social interaction issues with strong women because none of us want them in our tech industry disrupting diverse innovation…
