Code Like A Girl Sponsors
Thanks For Your Support
Olivia Mischianti, Andressa Chiara, Maria Alejandra Yepes, Mianya Ong, Gauri Ramesh, Sean Yo and I donate our time to Code Like A Girl. This is our passion project, we believe that changing the perceptions of Women In Technology will have a large effect on the number of women who choose technology as a career.
We are trying to change perceptions by Amplifying the voices of women who are already in technology. Telling their stories, sharing their passion, and touting their accomplishments. We want to amplify the voices of Men who are actively supporting and pushing for change. We want to provide young girls with role models that will inspire them to stay engaged in tech and consider it a career choice.
Oak & Rumble is an awesome content and video marketing agency in KW. They’ve helped us craft our social media and marketing strategy, and consulted on everything from business development to public relations.
We are excited about our partnership with Red Maple Forge. They have created a Code Like A Girl keychain pendant that is available for purchase. 10$ of each purchase goes toward Code Like A Girl. I love my pendant!

When I ran out of stickers earlier this year I decided to try out StickerYou. I had heard good things about them, and liked that they were local to us here in Canada. When ordering the stickers I told them what we did and asked if they could give us a discount. They were more than happy to do so. I was able to buy 4000 stickers for the price of 3000! Thanks StickerYou!

While Sean and I donate our time, we do have costs. I use Buffer to manage the Code Like A Girl Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. This is working fantastically. When this article was posted we were still using the Buffer Awesome plan and trying to figure out how we were going to be able to afford 1000USD a year for their Business product. So in the original posting of this article we asked
Hey Buffer would you consider sponsoring Code Like A Girl?
UPDATE: The year is up and sadly buffer has decided to end their sponsorship. We do want to say thanks for the year of service we had with them. We are grateful.
Along with buffer I use a fantastic tool called Hiplay. It integrates with buffer and allows me to choose previously posted tweets and add them to a the Hiplay library. Hiplay will then choose 2 of those tweets a day and add them to my buffer queue. This is how I repost past Code Like A Girl articles in case my followers missed them the first time through. Hiplay costs about 10$ USD a month and that along with some of my other tools became a price I could no longer afford. So I reluctantly cancelled the service.
I was surprised to get an email from their staff asking why I had canceled a few days later. I explained what I was doing with Code Like A Girl and the financial situation we were in. Their response blew me away! They wanted to support what we were doing at Code Like A Girl and they reactivated my account for free for 6 months! Thank you for putting your money where your mouth is Hiplay!
Update: In September when the 6 months free was to end, I went back to Hiplay to see if we could get a discount to continue with their service. To my surprise and gratitude they offered to allow Code Like A Girl to use it for free for another year! We are huge fans of Hiplay here at Code Like A Girl!!
Update: In September 2018 I asked if they would sponsor Code Like A Girl again and they are for another full year of service!!
